Job title:  Scrum Master (Mid-Level)

Location: Southern Suburbs of Cape Town (Hybrid)
A vacancy is available for a Mid-Level Scrum Master to facilitate agile delivery across the company’s product teams.

In this role, you’ll ensure Scrum practices are effectively applied, enabling teams to work efficiently, self-organise, and deliver high-quality outcomes that align with the company’s goals.

The ideal candidate is experienced in servant leadership, thrives in a technical and cross-functional environment, and is passionate about driving continuous improvement across teams that include hardware, firmware, cloud, and software engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Plan and run sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support the Product Owner: Help maintain and refine the product backlog, ensuring priorities are clear and delivery is aligned with business objectives.
  • Enable Team Performance: Remove blockers, foster collaboration, and promote accountability and focus within the team.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and team health.
  • Promote Agile Values: Champion agile principles across departments and coach teams to adopt best practices.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Track and report key delivery metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time) to ensure visibility and predictability.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with other Scrum Masters and departments (QA, Manufacturing, Academy, Marketing, etc.) to coordinate product releases.
  • Facilitate Communication: Ensure effective communication between development teams, leadership, and stakeholders.

Requirements:

 Essential

  • 2–4 years’ experience as a Scrum Master in a technology or product-based company.
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum and Agile frameworks, with hands-on experience facilitating multiple teams.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Experience working in cross-functional product teams (hardware, firmware, software, or IoT preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.

Preferred

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM I or higher).
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent.
  • Exposure to IoT or product lifecycle environments.
  • Understanding of Kanban or hybrid agile approaches.
