KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Solution Design & Engineering
- Design complete intralogistics solutions, including material‑flow strategies, storage systems (ASRS, racking, shuttle systems), conveyor lines, AGV/AMR layouts, and sortation technologies.
- Analyse customer operations, product flows, handling requirements, and throughput data to develop optimized engineering concepts.
- Produce 2D/3D layouts, system simulations, and technical documentation using CAD and relevant design tools.
- Size equipment (motors, conveyors, pallet-handling, shuttles, etc.) and calculate system capacity, throughput, and performance parameters.
- Ensure designs comply with safety standards, industry norms, and internal engineering guidelines.
Technical Pre‑Sales Support
- Support the sales team with technical expertise during customer meetings, site visits, and solution workshops.
- Prepare professional proposals, concept documents, and cost estimates (BOMs, system pricing, and feasibility analyses).
- Present solution concepts to customers, internal stakeholders, and management.
Project Collaboration
- Work closely with mechanical/electrical engineering teams, project managers, and software/controls specialists to ensure engineered solutions are technically aligned.
- Participate in handover meetings from pre‑sales to project execution.
- Provide design clarifications and technical support during project implementation.
Analysis & Optimization
- Perform layout studies, process mapping, cycle‑time calculations, and bottleneck analysis.
- Simulate warehouse and material flow scenarios using modelling software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, WMS/WCS simulation tools).
- Seek continuous improvement opportunities within existing or proposed solutions.
Documentation & Compliance
- Develop detailed engineering documentation, including layout drawings, data sheets, risk assessments, and design specifications.
- Maintain accurate version control and adhere to internal engineering standards and approval processes.
