Job title:  Web Developer – Cape Town.
A vacancy is available for a skilled Web Developer with experience in Framer and Webflow to design and develop visually appealing and highly functional websites.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of web development principles and best practices, as well as proficiency in Framer and Webflow.

Our client is an IoT business that provides next-generation mobile applications, systems, and solutions. They are a lean and efficient team with expertise in embedded hardware, manufacturing, networking, automation, back-end servers, web front-ends and mobile applications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer science.
  • Proven experience as a Web Developer with expertise in Framer and Webflow.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end development.
  • Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and web development frameworks/libraries (e.g., React).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with SEO principles and best practices is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Website Development:

  • Develop responsive and interactive websites using Framer and Webflow.
  • Translate design mockups and wireframes into functional web pages.

Front-end Development:

  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness of websites.

Design Integration:

  • Collaborate with designers to integrate design assets and animations into web projects.
  • Ensure design fidelity and user experience across different devices and screen sizes.

Prototyping and Animation:

  • Create interactive prototypes and animations using Framer to showcase design concepts and interactions.
  • Implement smooth animations and transitions to enhance user experience.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality web projects on time and within budget.
  • Participate in design reviews and brainstorming sessions to provide technical insights and recommendations.

Testing and optimisation:

  • Conduct testing and debugging to identify and fix issues in web applications.
  • Optimise website performance and user experience through continuous improvement.

Documentation:

  • Document code, processes, and best practices to ensure maintainability and scalability of web projects.
  • Provide technical documentation and support to other team members as needed.
