Job Description

Vacancy available in Pretoria for a Design Engineer with expertise in biomedical, electronic, electrical, or computer engineering. You will play a key role in developing new medical devices and enhancing existing products.

Our client, a pioneer in medical device innovation, specializes in advanced medical device products, revolutionizing patient care through cutting-edge technology. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in designing and developing new hardware circuitry, as well as enhancing existing hardware.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python is preferred.
  • Experience in designing embedded systems is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Dedication to continuous learning and staying current in the field.

Beneficial Skills (not essential):

  • 3D printing experience.
  • Experience in the medical device sector.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (FDA, ISO 13485).
  • Proficiency in Eagle/KiCad.
  • Skills in JavaScript, app development, and MERN stack development.
  • Proficiency in CAD software like Fusion 360 or SolidWorks, with the ability to generate models and drawings.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electronic circuits and embedded systems for medical devices.
  • Design and maintain software solutions for the company.
  • Work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams for product development.
  • Manage project timelines and resources.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies.
