Job title:  Senior Product Manager

Location: South Africa – Remote
Senior Product Manager position is available to join a dynamic team dedicated to changing the marketing landscape.

You will join a business that uses advanced machine learning algorithms to turn data into actionable customer insights.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of one of the business’ product areas. Your role involves developing the product strategy, managing the product lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the products meet customers’ needs and business goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field.
  • MBA will be advantageous but optional.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes and lifecycle.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
  • Proficiency with product management tools such as ClickUp.
  • Experience in a StartUp environment.
  • Experience with data analysis tools.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Product Strategy and Vision:
  • Define and communicate the product area vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Align product strategy with the company’s overall objectives and goals.
  • Product Development:
  • Lead the ideation, guide technical development and launch of innovative improvements to the product area.
  • Create detailed product requirement documents based on market needs and stakeholder input.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and other teams to deliver high-quality product iterations on time and within budget.
  • Creation and engineering handover of User Stories.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, customer support, and other departments to ensure successful product launches and adoption.
  • Communicate product plans, progress, and performance to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • User Experience and Feedback:
  • Gather and analyse user feedback and data to make informed product decisions.
  • Conduct user testing and beta programs to validate product ideas and improvements.
  • Performance Tracking and Optimisation:
  • Define and track key performance metrics to measure product success.
  • Continuously analyse product performance and user behaviour to identify areas for improvement.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
