Job Description
Job title:  Junior Mechanical Design and Project Engineer
Vacancy available for a Junior Mechanical Design and Project Engineer in Centurion. Ideally, we are seeking a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate with strong collaboration skills, who enjoys working in teams.

Requirements:

  • BEng or BSc Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering degree essential.
  • Passion for mechanical design (CAD) and manufacturing.
  • Passion for vehicles/automotive industry.
  • The candidate must be comfortable with working in the military industry. Knowledge of vehicles, vehicle components, and the automotive industry is advantageous. Understanding the local and international military industry and equipment is also advantageous.
  • Willing to work with your hands.
  • Autodesk Inventor & Vault experience (optional, beneficial).

Responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Research and Development – Automotive/Military.
  • Design of various components for use in Military Development, Full Detail Design, Creating ISO Standard Manufacturing Drawings, Overseeing Manufacture of Products.
  • Work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Writing of technical documentation.
  • Structural analysis (FEA) and Design Optimization
  • Liaising with Local and International Suppliers
  • Project Management
