Job Description
Job title:  Junior Application Engineer

Locations: Randburg, Johannesburg
An Engineering Graduate opportunity is open to individuals interested in embarking on a career in applications engineering and customer relations with mining and industrial clients. Our client specialises in developing electronic systems tailored for these sectors.

Applicants should have strong interests in the following:

  •   Hands-on technical problem-solving.
  •   Understanding of complex systems.
  •   Professional technical communication with clients
  •   Technical risk management

The successful candidate can expect to be exposed to the entire technical product life cycle from development & prototyping through to volume manufacture and obsolescence / system replacement.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer or Mechatronic Engineering.
  • Own transport essential.

Exposure to the following areas will be beneficial:

  •   Familiarity with the Linux command line.
  •   Familiarity with standard IT systems architectures / networking
  •   Familiarity with system design & development.
  •   Understanding of the mining industry.

Personal qualities:

  •   Accountability & integrity.
  •   Initiative taker
  •   Strong aptitude for fault finding from system to component level.
