Job title:  Engineering Graduates

Locations: Randburg, Gauteng (Office-based)

Start date: From January 2025

An Engineering company in Gauteng has vacancies available for Engineering Graduates in the following roles:

  • Electronic hardware design
  • Embedded Systems Development
  • Software Engineering
  • Field Application Engineering
  • Production Engineering

The company develops innovative electronic platforms and systems. They specialise in a variety of wired and wireless communication technologies.

The company has expertise in:

Hardware Design:

  • The company creates rugged, reliable platforms based on microprocessor, FPGA and microcontroller-based architectures.
  • Competencies include system design, schematic capture, simulation, PCB layout, debugging and testing new platforms.

Firmware/Software:

  • The company develops real-time firmware in C/C++ and assembler with or without real-time kernels or embedded OS’s.
  • Their expertise includes Linux system and driver development, data processing and storage frameworks and graphical user interface development for automation and control applications.

Systems & Control:

  • The company conducts scientific investigations and experimental set-ups to validate and verify new projects. This often entails in-house research, algorithm development, modelling and simulation within MATLAB/Octave.

Analytics:

  • The company utilises embedded system architectures to harvest and distil operational and behavioural data.
  • They also employ statistical methods to extract common trends and display these in a compact, graphical form that provides a transparent view of business operation.

Qualifications:

B.Eng or M.Eng degree in:

  • Electronic Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Mechatronic Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • BSc Electrical (Information) Engineering

Other:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • South African citizenship is essential.
  • No criminal record.
  • Own transport and a valid driver’s license.
