Electrical Engineering Graduate (Power Systems) – Cape Town

Job title:  Power Systems Engineer

Location: Cape Town (On-site | Office Based)

 
We have an amazing career opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Graduate to join our client who offers power systems solutions to the energy industry.

The selected candidate will have the chance to build a career as a highly respected power systems consulting engineer. They will work with experienced engineers to investigate problems and analyse, design, and implement engineering solutions that will assist in the advancement of the energy sector in Africa.

This role covers all aspects of power systems. Depending on the level of experience/exposure, the candidate will work on various facets of power systems, from studies to designs.

Minimum qualification required: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

Knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • Exposure or experience in power systems / substations / renewables is a bonus (not essential).
  • Experience in engineering software (ATP, AutoCAD, DIgSILENT, ETAP, Inventor, MATLAB, MicroStation, PLS-CADD, PSCAD, PSSE)
  • Analytical, intelligent, innovative thinker.
  • Capable of working to tight deadlines in a team-based environment.

Other requirements:

  • Occasional site visits would be required.
  • Able and willing to travel locally and internationally.
  • Own transport and a valid driving license
  • South African Citizen
