Experience Level:  2 or more years of industry experience

Location: Bellville, Cape Town | Centurion, Gauteng

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (BEng/BScEng).

Experience:

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in overhead line design
• Proven working experience in PLS-CADD (essential)
• Exposure to transmission/distribution line design standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and analysis of overhead power lines using PLS-CADD
• Perform line profiling, tower spotting, and loading analysis
• Coordinate with structural and geotechnical inputs for foundation design
• Prepare design reports, drawings, and technical documentation
• Ensure compliance with relevant Eskom/SANS/international standards
• Liaise with internal teams and clients on design deliverables.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret technical standards and specifications
• Attention to detail and accuracy in design work
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Advantageous:

• Experience with PLS-TOWER or related software
• Experience in renewable energy or large-scale transmission projects

• South African citizenship is essential
